The unanimous word is one that serves to designate or indicate the agreement of several people or entities on a decision to be taken. Unanimity is obtained when all the participants in that decision agree, so it is important not to confuse it with other types of decisions that can be achieved by simple majority since unanimity or the unanimous condition of a particular issue will always have to do with it. with the existence of an agreement between all those who participate in it. The term unanimous comes from the Latin, from the word unanimous which means unity and which is also related to all the other words that begin with one such as, for example, universe, uniform, unique.
Although the word unanimity can be used in countless different situations in everyday life, it is very common to find this term in the field of legislative, business and joint spaces when it is necessary to talk about decisions that must be taken (or took) all the actors in that situation being in agreement. In this sense, for example, there are legislative bodies in some countries that must make their decisions, pass laws or establish legislation unanimously and not by majority. This means that it is not enough for a law to be voted by the majority of the members of that body but, due to its importance, it is considered that all those who are part of it must agree. This is not entirely common since in legislative spaces the notion of majority is often used to allow dissent.
In other areas where the idea of unanimous or unanimity is much more common, it is when voting, for example, in business meetings, in consortium meetings on problems or issues that affect all its members and that are so urgent that everyone agrees or they act unanimously to fix or change them.
