Social

definition of mindset

Each person has a series of personal ideas and convictions that make up their overall vision of life. Such ideas and convictions are the foundation of a mindset. It could be said that the mentality of each individual is their way of understanding existence.

The mentality, both individual and collective, depends on the cultural tradition, the education received within the family and the social and historical circumstances of each era. In some cases, an individual's way of thinking may be related to their genetic heritage.

Capitalist mentality

The vital approach of some people is governed by a capitalist vision. If they invest, they seek the highest possible profit. Normally they do not spend everything they have because they give importance to saving and investing. They consider that it is all about buying and selling and they try to buy low and sell high. Ultimately, the projects they carry out are valued according to a profitability criterion.

Conservative mindset

There are people who cling to traditional values to give meaning to their lives. Those with a conservative mindset place a special value on the family, religion, discipline, and customs of their ancestors.

Precisely, they are conservative because they want to maintain and preserve traditions in the face of new developments that arise (the conservative individual normally adopts an attitude contrary to social changes and new trends).

Winning and losing perspective

The winner thinks and acts with one goal: to be the best and outperform his competitors. The loser feels defeated beforehand and perceives himself as a victim. Both start from a previous mental state that determines the success or failure of their projects.

The entrepreneurial vision

The entrepreneur has unique mental schemes. He is determined and confident, does not give up easily and is willing to sacrifice to achieve his goals. Generally the entrepreneur is creative, possesses leadership qualities, is not afraid of failure, learns from mistakes, takes risks and sees opportunities where others see problems.

The topics of the mentality of each town

Each town has certain characteristics of its own and that is why we speak of an Argentine, Spanish or British mentality.

According to popular clichés, Argentines are passionate, meat lovers, carefree, arrogant, and soccer fans. Spaniards are cheerful, envious, expressive, nap-loving, and creative. The British are punctual, pragmatic, competitive, fond of sports betting and with good manners.
