definition of unfriendly

The word unfriendly is the term we use when we want to express that someone or something stands out for the antipathy they present or dispose of.

Meanwhile, those who are unfriendly will have antipathy, as the feeling that by which rejection, repulsion or animosity is experienced against some person, object, place, animal or situation, among other alternatives.

Although there are many causes of antipathy, in most cases it responds to the perception of aggression that someone perceives regarding another person or any other external agent, which triggers them to place themselves in a situation of negative expectation given that they perceive the discomfort that the other sends and transmits. Generally, arguments and fights not overcome, offensive attitudes or simply what is popularly known as a matter of skin, which implies the instant rejection of the other, are the cause of the antipathies.

But antipathy is not only a human issue; animals are also capable of experiencing it with other peers, with humans and even with certain foods.

Like any other feeling, antipathy, it is possible to transmit it with the word, that is, from negative oral expressions towards the object that arouses the antipathy, and also from gestures and facial expressions such as: gaze at any point while conversing with someone, look of annoyance, frown and facial expression, not looking into the eyes, turning away while talking to us, arms crossed, among the most frequent.

Normally, the unpleasantness, as a consequence of this characteristic, tends to arouse the rejection of the people around him, because, it should be noted, that antipathy is one of the least popular conditions that distinguishes people.

Sympathy is the feeling that is opposed to the one that concerns us, since it supposes the affectionate and friendly inclination towards others and in most cases in a spontaneous and natural way.
