In general terms, the term receiver refers to the team or person whose main function is to receive. The reception can be plain and simple of a package, a letter, or any other material that you want to send to a person, or it can be a more sophisticated reception as in the case of a signal, a code or a message, among others, which come from a transmitter.

Because for example, a instances of the communication process, the receiver assumes one of the fundamental roles within it and that without him it would be impossible for the communication to achieve its effect, because there would be no depositary of the message that is wanted or needed to be transmitted. On the other hand, and as we pointed out above, it is also called with the receiver term the electronic device that facilitates and allows the recovery of voice signals or of any other type and that are transmitted by a radio frequency transmitter using electromagnetic waves.
