A database is the set of informative data organized in the same context for its use and linking.
A database is called a database that contains data related to various topics and categorized in different ways, but that share some type of link or relationship that seeks to order and classify them as a whole.
A database can be of various types, from a small home file to sort books and magazines by alphabetical classification to a complex database that contains data of a governmental nature in a State or international organization. Recently, the term database began to be used almost exclusively in reference to databases built from computer software, which allow easier and faster organization of data. Computer databases can be created from software or even online using the Internet. In any case, the available functionalities are practically unlimited.
The databases are classified as static - in cases where they are only used for reading and storage - or dynamic - the information is modified and can be updated. Also, depending on their content, they can be bibliographic, full text, directories, or library type.
The uses of databases are so multiple that, for example, they can be used in a library or archive that stores books for frequent consultation, but they can also be used to store biological material, such as a genetic archive or a sperm bank that stores sperm to be used in fertilization.
This type of classifiers contribute, of course, to the daily tasks of almost all types of jobs, such as recording the communications that are held with clients, storing supplier data, filing data, numbers and all kinds of information that the user wants to relate or easily find just by entering a keyword.
