Critical status is a concept that we use in our language with recurrence to refer to or account for those crucial and exceptional situations of an event and that is characterized because the danger is present, threatens, and can even be fatal, of life or death for those who are threatened by him, if he does not manage to fight and face a positive result.

In the field of medicine the use of the concept is very recurrent critical condition to refer precisely the a type of clinical situation that a patient goes through.
Normally, doctors who care for an individual when communicating with their colleagues, their relatives, or the media interested in the condition of a patient, usually use this concept that concerns us, when they want to indicate that the vital signs of this are not stable, and by case, death is a probable and imminent outcome.
With an example it will be better understood, an individual who has just suffered a car accident will surely present a fluctuation in his blood pressure, between extreme high and low, and may also present a serious head injury that generated unconsciousness.
For example, an individual in a critical condition may also be unconscious, although this is not a necessary condition for them to be in a critical condition; they may also be in a critical condition and be in a coma or awake.
The critical state is of the five states that medicine contemplates the most serious, meanwhile, there are others of less complication and that are also used to designate and account for the state of health of a person who is receiving medical attention, such is the case of: serious, regular, indeterminate and good.

On the other hand, in the field of economics, it is common to speak of a critical state of personal finances, or those of a nation, when they are not balanced, with insufficient reserves compared to the expenditures that must be made in concept of payment of current expenses and contracted debts.
That is to say, in this circumstance the reserves or savings are not enough to pay what is owed and also no extra profit can be obtained to cover them.
This panorama can occur, as we have already pointed out, in the public accounts of a nation, in the personal accounts of a person, or in a company.
Social and political crisis
Also, this concept can be applied in those social contexts in which the social fabric that makes up a society is completely decomposed by various negative and highly worrying situations such as: crime, drug trafficking, addictions, illiteracy, violence, among others.
And on the political level we can speak of a critical state when a government cannot fully exercise its authority due to various circumstances that have delegitimized it in front of the people, who oppose it, demonstrate in the streets and ask that it resign.
This situation of political crisis has been appreciated on many occasions throughout the history of humanity.
Poor policies in economic, social and governmental matters tend to unleash popular discontent and if they are not resolved in time they can cause a breakdown of social balance and harmony and lead to chaotic situations, which in history have been resolved many times with violence or with the installation of authoritarian governments.
