jump definition

We can define jumping as the action of jumping, the movement made by living beings or some inanimate objects (such as robots or some machines created by man) when propelled from one surface to another through movement in the air (also of the water). To carry out such displacement, the element in question must perform some kind of force that can be naturally or artificially applied and that, depending on its intensity, will allow more or less greater distances to be achieved.

Jumping is a very simple and natural movement in living beings that can use it as a means of escape from certain dangers as well as another method of displacement, alternative to walking or running. In this sense, there are some animals that move almost exclusively through jumps, such as the characteristic case of the kangaroo, of some animals related to gazelles or squirrels, of certain aquatic animals such as the dolphin or the killer whale, among many others.

However, in the case of humans, jumping, in addition to being a form of movement, is also an athletic discipline that involves developing the ability to jump both high and long to the limit of human possibilities. These disciplines require significant physical strength, especially in the muscles of the lower limbs, from which strength must come.

Finally, it can also be said that the term 'jump' is applied to geographical phenomena in which a break in the territory and a subsequent void are present. Such a situation is very common with waterfalls and waterfalls that can also be called 'waterfalls'. In addition, there are also many known waterfalls that are precipitous and that mark the abrupt break in the terrain. These territories can have their own names according to the region in which they are located. There are also towns and territories that are called Salto, as in Argentina or Uruguay.
