The custom of building houses with bricks and cement exists in all latitudes of the planet. However, there are other equally valid alternatives. Main features of the system
It is a form of dry building and consists of using plaster or fiber cement boards that are fixed to a light wooden or galvanized steel structure. No water is used for its manufacturing process and this allows construction times to be faster.
The drywall system has already been implemented around the world. Its use has all kinds of applications, whether they are residential, commercial, building remodeling or new construction projects. Many homes are built solely with this material. It is not only used to raise walls, but also to build oval ceilings, event platforms, panels, etc.
Depending on the structure and the type of plate to be used, the system is a good solution for interior distribution. Gypsum boards can have different characteristics, as some are resistant to humidity and others to heat. Of course, the cost varies depending on the brand and the quality of the product. Drywall has many advantages
It is an ideal material in those countries where there is a risk of seismic movements, such as Mexico, Peru, Nicaragua or Japan. This partition is lightweight and for this reason offers greater security than the traditional partition. It is an ideal material to promote thermal and acoustic insulation. It adapts well to any type of climate. On the other hand, it is a non-combustible material and plasterboard does not ignite in the event of a fire (the effect of fire can damage a plasterboard, but this material prevents the spread of flames).
From a construction point of view, this proposal also has a number of advantages: an easy assembly, no need for sophisticated tools for its installation and it is easy to transport. In the event of drywall damage, repairs are easy.
Being its quick installation, this favors savings in construction companies and this circumstance can affect the final price paid by the consumer.
Likewise, it does not require the classic cement mixtures, the drywall system stands out for its cleanliness.
