definition of eating

The action of eating is perhaps the most important that any living being can perform since it involves feeding or receiving different types of nutrients that are converted into energy to continue living. The act of eating is natural in any of the worlds of living beings, although we must point out that the human being is the only one who has managed to rationalize it and make it more than a simple organic action. Eating is, for the human being, also an opportunity to feel pleasure, to enjoy with loved ones, to try new and different sensations each time.

Through the act of eating, the individual acquires food or foods and processes them in such a way that they can be used as nutrients, energy and other benefits. Food is transformed in a natural way by all living beings thanks to different devices (such as the digestive system in humans and animals). Thus, what was once a food becomes part of the body or, on the contrary, to be discarded by it.

As said, the human being is the only living being that has managed to transform the act of eating into an act that goes beyond and surpasses the merely organic and physical. In this way, for a person a meal can undoubtedly mean a unique experience. Many times this makes the act of eating that in animals or plants is natural or unconscious, becomes too complex and with it different problems arise such as excessive consumption or unhealthy eating, diseases related to food and even political conflicts. and military that are carried out in order to obtain or obtain certain exclusive and difficult-to-find foods. At the same time, today the act of eating is a privilege that a large part of the population cannot enjoy on a daily basis.
