In a way, it is the connector from which what is happening is exposed.

On the other hand, place where someone or something is located, we also call it situation. "The situation in the neighborhood where Juan lives has become really dangerous as a result of the wave of insecurity.”

Another recurring use of the term occurs at the request of wanting to account for the set of realities or circumstances that occur at a given time and that determine the existence of things and people. “The political situation in Honduras, after the coup attempt is really weak.”
This term is usually synonymous with words like site and position.
Economic or social position of someone
Likewise, it is quite frequent that we use it as synonymous with economic or social position. “ Juan is dating a young woman whose family has a very good economic position.”
People always occupy a certain social position in the society in which we live, which at the behest of a capitalist system, which is the one that proliferates in the Western world at this time, can be a high, medium, or low position.
That is, this system divides society into three groups, based on the economic income it has and wealth.
The upper class is the most benefited and is made up of people who have high levels of material wealth because they have inherited fortunes or material goods; The middle class will imply a middle social situation, the person is not rich as in the upper class but he does have sufficient resources, coming from his work, mostly professional, that allow him to live in a comfortable way, that is, to satisfy his basic needs, and also to be able to indulge in some tastes such as traveling, buying cars, among others.
And at the base we find the lower class, which is simply the poor people who make it up, people who may or may not have a job but the income of those who work is certainly low, which in many cases allows us to satisfy all their needs. .
On the other hand, countries are also usually classified or distinguished according to the situation in which they are in economic matters, on the one hand, those that are in a situation of development or underdevelopment, and on the other the countries already developed.
The main difference between these is that in the former, the shortages and poverty are more evident and present than in the latter, where most of the population lives in a wealthy way and without needs, with practically no poverty, or the same it boasts very low levels.

It should be noted that the situation is extralinguistic, while the context is linguistic, however, this does not exclude that a situation alters the interpretation of the message in question. A message can be interpreted in different ways by the same person according to the situation in which it is.
