The term harmful is used to designate everything considered dangerous or harmful to the life of a person, of any living being and of the environment.

Now, the concept can be applied to something, an element, a product, among others, but also to a person, that is, there are people who by their way of being, behaviors, habits, are tremendously harmful to those around them, generating them by case problems of all kinds.

In other words, for something or someone to be considered harmful, they must have concrete and visible conditions of being harmful to the physical or mental health of others.

The notion or quality of harmful of an element can be applied in relation to its effect both on people and on animals or plants, that is, on any living organism that it can harm or damage in a profound way. In general, when talking about a harmful element, it is being pointed out that its dangerousness is quite important.

The quality of harmful is applied to any type of product or element that, in a proven way, is dangerous for the health or physical well-being of a person, animal or plant. An element becomes harmful when it comes into contact with it, and this situation can occur both through contact with the skin and through inhalation or consumption by mistake or accident. Usually, the most harmful or harmful products for health are those that can be called chemical compounds, highly dangerous and deadly for most living beings.

Although many of the products and chemical compounds that are most harmful to health are elements with which we do not have contact every day and which are used in specific situations, there are many other products that are in permanent contact with living beings. This has to do with the fact that they can be used with a specific function, for example cleaning items. Although they do not generate deep damage when used, their consumption is highly harmful and deadly if it happens.

At the same time, other products specially designed to be consumed can also be seriously harmful if they are received constantly and permanently. One of the clearest examples of such a situation is that of cigarettes, which, consumed in high doses and constantly, generates serious health problems.

The tremendous harmfulness of tobacco

Medicine and science through various studies have shown without objection that tobacco is one of the most toxic and harmful substances for the body because its components are clearly dangerous for the health of individuals.

There are many health complications and conditions that tobacco triggers, among the most serious is lung cancer, one of the most lethal types of cancer and from which more people die every year in the world.

But even knowing this, tobacco is a product that is very entrenched in society. Its consumption is very wide, and as we said, despite knowing the tremendous damage that people cause, they continue to consume cigarettes.

In recent years, government authorities began to become more aware of the magnificent damage to health that it causes and it is then that it has been decided in many countries to increase the taxes corresponding to cigarettes and also to deploy campaigns that discourage their consumption and force the production companies to place legends on cigarette boxes that warn precisely of the dramatic and lethal effects that cigarettes have on the health of all, especially those who smoke, but also those passive smokers who are around them and although they do not smoke they should inhale the smoke.

Continuing with bad habits and vices, cigarette consumption can also be added as harmful consumption that corresponding to alcohol in large quantities and of course the consumption of drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, LSD, ecstasy, all these producers of effects very unhealthy and obviously fatal where abuse is significant.
