The argumentative text, also called as argumentative speech, has the purpose of express opinions about a topic, or, failing that, refute them, in order to persuade the audience to whom the message is addressed.
That is, the author or interlocutor will propose through the argumentative text to demonstrate an idea that he proposes, to refute an opinion that is opposed to his ideas and that was expressed by an opponent, for example, or he may also want to persuade an audience or recipient to to do something or to stop a behavior.

The argumentative text is present in the most varied fields, in science, in philosophy, in politics, in journalism, in justice, in the advertising that appears in the different mass media, in debates and of course in the daily talks that we can maintain with our close circle, among others.
By this we mean that argumentation is an issue that is part of our daily life and that we tend to both use and be its recipients.
