definition of scoundrel

The concept of scoundrel is used in our language to refer to that person who is mean and miserable in his actions and dealings with others. By case it is that normally the society despises this type of people, that is to say, the one who is considered and qualified as scoundrel will be despised. The word then has an absolute negative connotation.

The scoundrel is always associated with despicable and negative issues, such as meanness and the miserable, and then it is precisely this that makes him totally repudiated and condemned by the common people. It is known, because it is proven, that nothing good can come of or come from that person who stands out for being a scoundrel. Most likely, it will deceive us, make us lose something valuable or hurt us in some way.

The rogue also generates actions that can be classified in the same way as rogue actions. A concrete example to illustrate the concept would be the person who scams and keeps the donations that were destined to be delivered to a foundation that houses people affected by the floods. Keeping something that does not belong to him added to the fact that the recipients of the goods are in a very vulnerable situation, makes him perfectly fit the qualifier of scoundrel.

Although the attack or violation of the rights of any individual is reprehensible and the person who carries it out will be considered a scoundrel, we must emphasize that the scoundrel is mostly linked to those actions that attack defenseless people such as children and the elderly, or in their defect, who are in a special situation of vulnerability, such as victims of a natural disaster.

There are endless internal and external factors that can make someone a scoundrel, among the most recurrent we can mention the lack of containment and love in childhood, having been abused, the suspicion that the lack of opportunities in life generates , some mental problem, among others.

Honored, the other side

The other side of the scoundrel is the honest, the worthy person, a person who acts with seriousness, respect, moderation, correction, transparency and in accordance with justice.
