Brief article with which you discover a work, a movie, an album ...

The Review is an article or very brief writing, corresponding to a journalistic publication in a mass communication medium (newspaper, magazine), or of an educational nature, in which an event, a literary, scientific work will be described in a concise and succinct way , among other alternatives. Books, records, films and scientific works that are released or published, as appropriate, are the subject of this type of article.

In this article or testimony, the person making the review will describe and summarize some characteristics, either of a text or of an audiovisual content, with the purpose of facilitating its knowledge in greater depth, because in addition to offering a panoramic vision on the matter in question, the review also constitutes and presents a critical view regarding that fact.

They appear in the mass media and their purpose is to attract the attention of the public

To the reviews, mostly, we find them in the media such as magazines, newspapers and generally deal with the same topics, books, recently released films, exhibitions and events. The objective is to bring the public closer to these events, highlight their values, make them aware of them and also awaken their interest so that they themselves come to see, read and participate in them.

People love to read reviews, even, many times they are the ones who end up leaning towards a book or movie. It is rare for a person to go to the movies or buy a book without first having read the review, what is it about, because of course, no one wants to find some unpleasant surprise.

But there are also a smaller portion of people who find the reviews inconvenient because they just anticipate the story and they want to be surprised.

A review will be considered correct and fulfilling its function when it reflects the critical appraisal and interpretation of the developer.

At this point we must say that the review, when it is not favorable for the creator of the reviewed work, tends to generate much disagreement and displeasure with the artists who feel mistreated by the punishment of their work. And also when the reviews are very unfavorable they tend to scare the public and therefore the work runs the risk of commercial failure. A problem, without a doubt, for its creators, producers, among others.
