The hyperlink is in computing that reference or navigation element that allows to go from one electronic document to another or to different parts of the same document. The hyperlink is known as one of the most important and essential parts of the Internet network. However, there are many electronic media and supports that can use it outside of it.
The dosibilities of the hyperlink are the access to the information as a navigation agent, the exposure of the material as a reference and the possibility of saving the information or the document on the local computer. Clearly, in order to work, a hyperlink requires two extremes. That end from which you start is called the origin anchor, while the end that can be reached through the hyperlink is called the destination anchor.
Regularly, the hyperlink is highlighted from the rest of the text through different colors, letters or formats, in such a way that the user understands that there is the possibility of searching for more information about such term or element. At the same time, another indicator of the existence of a hyperlink is the change that occurs over the mouse pointer, which usually turns into a hand. When the hyperlink has already been previously visited, it will be seen again in another color so that the user can more easily identify what is needed.
The term hyperlink or hyperlink in English, was created in the mid-60s by the philosopher and writer Ted Nelson, who showed interest in the possibility of the human mind to pass from one type of information to another through links or links infinite. This would generate a kind of history or unique path that can vary each time and that would allow going forward but also backwards in numerous opportunities.
