definition of concern

A worry is that restlessness or fear that something awakens a person. For example, a disease that affects the health of an individual can become the main concern of this and their close environment. My great concern today is the complicated state of my father's health.

On the other hand, when something arouses interest or attention, that is, the object or subject of greatest interest to someone is usually expressed in terms of concern.

The only concern I have in life is the welfare of my family.

It should be noted that the object of concern can cover the most diverse issues, that is, it can range from concern about not having achieved the makeup that is always used to the concern generated by being fired from employment.

Although common sense could lead us to think that not finding the makeup we always wear is less of a concern in the face of losing a job, we do not all have the same scale of values and it is precisely this that will determine that something worries more or less. Each person, according to their convictions and experiences, will develop their own concerns that do not happen to coincide with those of another, precisely because individuals are and think differently.

Mostly accompanying the worry are the heartache and anxietyMeanwhile, if many concerns are not dealt with in time, they can lead to highly complex psychological problems, such as depression and anxiety. Especially in those cases in which the person cannot find a resolution to their concern with anything.

It is worth clarifying that worry is an issue that almost all people experience in our life, however, when it affects the health and development of the person and becomes a pathological issue, it should be addressed from a therapeutic perspective, through psychotherapy, in order to solve and overcome it.

The opposing concept is that of unconcern that precisely allows to refer tranquility and absence of worries, on the one hand, and on the other hand the absence of care or attention that someone presents in the performance of a task or activity.
