The word stroke It is a term frequently used in our language and from which we can refer various questions depending on the context of use.

Meanwhile, its most widespread and popular use is registered at the request of the writing and allows to designate the line or line that we can make on paper, using a pencil, pen, marker, among other writing utensils, and from which it is possible to shape a letter or figure.

Also, the word stroke designates the series of straight or curved lines that are reflected on a paper through a writing tool and without lifting it from the support on which it is being made. It should be noted that this meaning of the word takes on a notable presence in Eastern languages ​​since it implies the classical way in which the characters are made.

There are some languages, such as Chinese and Japanese, in which the stroke takes on a very special place since it is precisely the number of strokes which allows to carry out the classification of the characters and likewise, it holds an outstanding importance the order that is given to the strokes and that end up writing the character in question.

In the specific case of Chinese writing, there are about 30 strokes, of which only eight are the basic ones, the rest will be made up of a combination of these.
