The start menu is vital in Windows, it is one of those things that you use unconsciously when you are with the computer, when working, to search for a program, etc. and that you only realize how important it is, when Microsoft takes out Windows 8 and suppresses it. Fortunately they have realized their error and will correct it by restoring it again.
Anyone knows what the start menu is. It is a button that is usually in the lower left part of the desktop and that when you click on it, it visually displays all the programs that we have installed on our computer. Program organization allows a computer user to place the most or least used programs in the right place for the individual's convenience.
The origin of the start menu stems from the need to be able to group programs with similar characteristics in submenus so that they are easily found by the user. At first it was used something like program manager in systems like MS DOS (Microsoft Disc Operating System) and Windows 3.1 etc. The Start Menu looks suspiciously like the Apple Menu but that's another story. It was first introduced with the Windows 95 operating system.
In a classic windows start menu, it allows you to see everything you have on your computer at a glance. It's an easy way to access content on your computer without getting too busy.
Using this menu allows us to:-Start programs. -Open folders that are used regularly. -Find folders, files and programs. -Adjust equipment settings. -Get help using the Windows operating system. -Turn off the computer. –Log out of Windows or change user.
The start menu is for the reasons that are exposed above the basis of the operation of an operating system since it allows us to visually access all the programs that we have. With the old program manager, these were arranged alphabetically. If you had many programs installed, the only way to see them was by searching for them from a list that was displayed. Hopefully, if the name of the program was known, it would be written and it would run. If it was not known, then you had to find the name of the program from the list of programs to be able to write and execute it. In work offices with documents that have to be opened, edited and closed continuously, a correct configuration of the start menu allows one to work with real efficiency.
