definition of vicious circle

The vicious circle refers to that crossroads into which human beings can fall when they find themselves in a kind of dead end, that is, in a circle in which everything leads to the same point. A vicious cycle is a situation that we do not know exactly how to break because it seems that the same story always repeats itself.

The metaphor of the circle shows that this sphere is cyclical, therefore, the situation always returns sooner or later because in a circle each point depends on the previous one.

A dead end

A vicious circle occurs in a person's life when there is no change from a situation that does require change, and instead, the subject is still there. To break this circle it is very important to bet on the courage to make a firm commitment to one's own personal happiness and fight for the true desires of the heart by betting on new actions.

From similar actions, predictable results are always obtained, which also shows a vicious circle typical of those who remain stuck in a predictable routine. On the other hand, taking different actions allows you to integrate a new path that can offer novel results.

What should not be done in the face of a vicious circle is to feed the situation from the passivity of believing that nothing can be done to get out of that loop. It is always possible to do something new to open new doors with which to get out of that circle for which you have to find the way out by reflecting on different possibilities of action.

How to get out of the circle

Another very important point that is essential to avoid in a situation of these characteristics is to postpone decision-making for another time. The best time to make a decision to break a vicious circle is now because the first step, which is the most difficult, is the one that can make a difference in the situation by including small modifications.

There are negative thoughts that feed a vicious circle: "this is very difficult", "I'm not ready for this goal", "I don't know how to act". On the contrary, you can feed positive thoughts with which to get out of that circle: "I am a person capable of achieving it" and "I want to take this experience as a new adventure". In short, there is no circle for those who do not want to remain locked in it because it is always possible to influence the attitude.
