definition of automaton

The word automaton is a term that is used in our language to refer to various questions, a good part of them associated with the notion of automatic, which as we know involves what works, in almost everything or in everything, by its own means, and generally, as a consequence that it has been provided with a special mechanism that allows it to perform tasks and actions in a self-sufficient manner.

To the device that has a mechanism that facilitates the performance of certain movements is called an automaton.

Also, we call automaton that machine that takes care of recreating and imitating both the figure and the movements of an animated being, one of the examples that best illustrate this type of machine are the robots. Thanks to a directed electromechanical system, the robot can perform different actions by itself, which, of course, have previously been programmed into its memory.

In the field of computingLikewise, we find a reference to the word, since it refers either to a device or series of provisions that propose an automatic and continuous linking of operations that allow the processing of input information, which at the same time will generate an output counterpart.

And in colloquial language, the word automaton is used when we want to express that this or that individual behaves, acts, just like a machine, allowing himself to be led and directed in a conditioned way as if he were really a machine.

At present and due to the phenomenal advance of new technologies and science, automaton machines are a palpable reality with many of which we interact daily and which of course contribute to making our lives much easier in some activities.
