The word temporality is a term that has two uses in our language, on the one hand, when we want to express the transience that things in life observe it is common for us to use this word; and on the other hand it designates what is profane, before the religious.
Transience of something
If an activity is subject to time limitations, it will be discussed in terms of temporality.
Almost all the activities we carry out are determined by time; thus there is a schedule to work, to study, to sleep, to do nothing and to look for some entertainment, among others.
Meanwhile, the salient characteristic of temporality is the transient quality.
The transitory, for its part, stands out especially for the conditions of passenger, temporary, fleeting, ephemeral.
For example, when something, a sentimental relationship, for example, lasts very little in time, that is, it begins and ends almost simultaneously, it will be considered as transitory.
It is not permanent or eternal, it is fleeting and fleeting
So, what is considered as transitory, it will not be in any way permanent nor will it be eternalAnd this is precisely because the distinctive feature of the permanent is that it endures and remains in time.
We have already mentioned the case of the relationships that one can maintain in life and that may be subject to this condition of temporality.
But there are also activities that we deploy in life and that can involve temporality.
Hiring of staff for a period of time and to meet the demands of the moment
A specific case is work activity.
It turns out to be recurrent in the workplace in recent decades that employees are hired in the first instance as temporary workers and then, if they satisfactorily fulfill the assigned tasks and their behavior is in accordance with what is expected from him, an indefinite contract is extended to him.
Also, within this same context, it is common for temporary contracts to be generated when the employee holding a position or position, requests leave for a few months for some medical or personal reason, and then, it is necessary to occupy his position with another employee, at the which will be hired under the temporary conditions.
On the other hand, there are work sectors in which it is common for companies to hire temporary staff because they work hard on a certain date of the year.
Common practice in tourism and commerce
For example, in tourism it is very common that in the high season of a vacation place, all the actors that work in this sector, hotels, restaurants, commercial premises, among others, hire additional personnel, as temporary hiring , to be able to cope with the increase in demand.
Once the vacation period ends, these personnel will be disengaged from the work activity, because of course, the demand for work drops substantially, and it is not profitable for the employer to maintain a staff that will not be occupied.
Something similar happens at certain times of the year in the commerce sector, for example, on special dates such as Christmas, Children's, Father's, or Mother's Day, in which businesses that sell items for these subjects sell more And they must hire additional employees to meet the sales demand, but of course, once the dates are up, those temporarily hired employees will be out of work space.
Job insecurity and instability
Unfortunately, this state of affairs tends to make working conditions precarious in some sectors, adding a high rate of instability to the positions of the people who work in them.
Although there are workers who have another activity at the same time, one cannot fail to appreciate this disturbing reality in summer areas, which leaves many people without work when the season ends, and in some cases they even have to leave their cities and settle in others to be able to have work continuity.
That which is considered profane in religion
But the word that occupies us also presents, as we said at the beginning, another reference that is given at the request of the field of religion, since in this way it will be called that which in the face of the strictly religious is recognized as profane, disrespectful, that is, that does not respect sacred questions, but on the contrary, faces and treats them with irreverence.
